Routes into the architecture industry are changing.

More and more institutions are offering an apprenticeship in Architectural education to allow students the opportunity to gain invaluable insight into the industry whilst progressing their studies.

The Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) at The University of Cambridge is in its fourth year of offering this route to future architects, with applications now open for the new cohort to start studying in September 2024.

ICE collaborates closely with organisations across the country and as a national architecture practice who have a long history of providing training to our team, this has resulted in an ongoing cross-collaboration between GSSArchitecture and ICE.

We provide our teams with an opportunity to work across a range of sectors across the country, resulting in junior members of our team gaining a broad range of experience and knowledge in architecture.

Eleanor Lee, Part II Architectural Apprentice at GSS, and student at the University of Cambridge, said “An Architectural Apprenticeship offers a route to qualifying in a way that challenges young professionals to be constantly learning in tandem with real-world practice.
