GSSArchitecture is 1 of just 27 architectural suppliers to have been appointed to Lot 2 of the Government Commercial Agency’s Construction Professional Services 2 (CPS2) Framework.
Following a highly competitive tender process, we have secured a place on one of the UK’s principal routes for professional construction consultancy. The appointment reflects the strength of our public sector portfolio and enables us to provide architectural services to central government and the wider public sector, including the NHS, local authorities and government departments.
Government Commercial Agency (GCA) is the UK’s central commercial and procurement organisation, connecting public and private sectors to achieve the best outcomes for the UK and its citizens. GCA uses its commercial expertise to create a simpler procurement experience that redirects valuable resources into essential public services – creating value for the nation. Benefits for users also include assurance of value for money, with suppliers being selected on both a quality and price basis. Procurement is flexible with no minimum contract value, allowing for projects of any size to be procured through the framework.
Unlike traditional procurement frameworks, CPS2 is built around the Framework Alliance Contract (FAC-1), encouraging collaborative working between clients, consultants and delivery teams. This approach promotes early engagement, shared objectives and integrated project delivery, helping public sector organisations achieve better outcomes and greater long-term value.
CPS2 aligns closely with GSSArchitecture’s values as a practice, with a shared commitment to sustainability, collaboration and delivering meaningful social value. The framework requires suppliers to have robust Carbon Reduction Plans in place and to contribute to project-specific social value outcomes. These principles are already embedded in GSSArchitecture’s approach, from reducing carbon emissions through sustainable design to creating wider community benefits and supporting the next generation of professionals. Through the framework, we will continue to bring this expertise to every project it delivers.
Jonathan Hunter, Senior Partner at GSS, has commented: Our appointment to the CPS2 Framework provides public sector organisations with a straightforward and compliant route to access our architectural expertise. We look forward to working collaboratively with clients across the UK to deliver sustainable, high-quality projects that create lasting value for communities.
Alongside our appointment to the CPS2 Framework, we have also secured places on the RISE Framework, Fusion21 and ESPO. Together, these appointments provide public sector organisations with multiple compliant routes to access our architectural expertise.
