We are pleased to share a series of promotions across the Practice, recognising the outstanding contributions and continued commitment of their talented team members.
Our Head Office in Kettering is celebrating the promotion of Gau Selvarajah and Tom Scopes to Associate. Whilst our Newcastle Studio are celebrating the appointment of Juran Kerr to Senior Associate.
Having joined us in the middle of last year, Gau has already had a strong impact on the team at our Kettering Head Office. With his experience lying in the design and delivery of Higher-Risk Building projects, he will no doubt prove himself invaluable on the 599 Grafton Gate project, a 33-storey private rental tower block. Gau has also quickly become a mentor for other members of the team, providing ongoing support to many of our Architectural Assistants who are undertaking their part three qualifications.
Tom is a Chartered Architect, whose work primarily focuses on the sensitive conservation and restoration of buildings in a historical context. With a passion for breathing new life into a historic property, Tom has used his skills to deliver numerous conservation projects with the Practice since joining in 2023. He is currently working on converting the Grade II listed Twyford Abbey into luxury residential apartments.

Chartered Architectural Technologist Juran Kerr joined the Practice in 2017. Since then, he has demonstrated his strong ability to work effectively within large multi-disciplinary teams and has succeeded as Project Lead on several high-profile projects. Amongst these, is the South Tyneside College Campus, which he is currently delivering alongside the NETA facility at Stockton College. Outside of his day-to-day duties, Juran works hard to support the wellbeing of the Practice as a Mental Health Ambassador. He is also a member of our Revit Steering Group, where he drives best practice through his experience and technical expertise.
Senior Partner at GSSArchitecture, Jonathan Hunter, said of the recent promotions, “I am delighted for Gau, Tom and Juran. It is fantastic to see such high-calibre individuals stepping into senior roles within the Practice. Their leadership, mentorship of younger team members, and depth of expertise are helping to drive the Practice forward and ensure the continued design and delivery of outstanding projects, demonstrating how together we can grow and progress.”
