Following the official opening of the South Central Institute of Technology at Reading College in September last year, it is great to see that works have started on site at both the Bletchley and Oxford sites!
Milton Keynes College is working in partnership with Activate Learning to deliver the new institutes, which will specialise in delivering technical and digital education, focusing on the specific skills required in the local area through collaboration with business partners. By bridging skills gaps, these exciting schemes will help to drive growth and widen opportunities for their local communities.

Main Contractor, Ashe Construction, have commenced works on site at Bletchley, with the milestone being celebrated last week in the form of a Piling Ceremony. The project team were joined by The Mayor of Milton Keynes, Mo Khan and representatives from the Department for Education (DfE) to mark the occasion.
Meanwhile, at the Blackbird Leys Technology Campus in Oxford, Beard Construction are making significant progress with the challenging remodelling and refurbishment works which, once complete, will include high tech facilities such as immersive learning and robotic labs, a pitching room and break out and collaboration spaces.
We are delighted to be working as Architects alongside Milton Keynes College, Activate Learning and the wider project teams on these exciting schemes which will play a huge role in promoting careers within the technology sector.
