Several promotions have been announced at GSSArchitecture for 2024. Lucy Gallagher and Gabby Lynch, based at the GSS Newcastle Studio, have been promoted to Senior Architects, together with Juran Kerr, also based in the Newcastle Studio, who has been promoted to a new role of Technical Associate. In our Leeds studio, Heather Murgatroyd has been promoted to Senior Architectural Technologist.

Since joining in 2021, Lucy Gallagher has worked on numerous projects including the recently completed South Shields Crematorium and The Angel Inn for The Inn Collection Group. As a Senior Architect, Lucy will take on greater responsibility across the practice, continuing to lead projects and mentoring other team members.

Gabby Lynch is an integral part of the Newcastle Studio and has also been working closely with The Inn Collection Group on the refurbishment of The Ullswater Inn as well as being part of the RIBA mentorship scheme for student architects in collaboration with Northumbria University and Newcastle University.

Juran Kerr has been part of the GSS team since the opening of the Newcastle Studio in 2016 and has worked on significant projects throughout his time with the us, including the multi-award-winning Catalyst building for Newcastle University and the iconic Tynemouth Castle Inn for The Inn Collection Group. As Technical Associate, Juran will have a key role driving continuous improvement and helping the practice to maintain exceptional quality standards for our clients.

Joining in 2010, Heather Murgatroyd has led successful projects for several clients, such as the recently completed Collingwood College Music Rooms for Durham University and the refurbishment of the Grade II* listed Bishop Cosin’s Library. Heather also leads our Revit Steering Group where she organises training and provides day-to-day support to other team members.
