We were delighted to attend the opening of the new South Central Institute of Technology (SCIoT) building in Bletchley yesterday!

We joined students and representatives from Milton Keynes College Group to celebrate the opening of their third and largest Institute of Technology, with two more at the Oxford and Reading college campuses.

This scheme is the latest SCIoT to be delivered by GSS and specialises in delivering technical and digital education, focusing on the specific skills required in the local area to help bridge skills gaps to drive growth in Milton Keynes.

Anna McTaggart, Partner at GSS and lead architect on the scheme, said, “We had a fantastic evening at the opening of the SCIoT, and it’s great to see how the space will be utilised by students and teaching staff to help widen opportunities for the community. It has been a great team effort to deliver this new facility for the college and we are proud to have been a part of something that will really make a difference!”

GSS were appointed as Architect and Lead Consultant on this scheme alongside Milton Keynes College Group, Ashe Construction, Project Management Solutions, Gleeds, Nicholsons, Panda CES, Solution Consulting Engineers Ltd, Scott White and Hookins LLP and Tetratech.
