This project involved the refurbishment of the Confluence Building at Durham University. The scheme comprised a wide-ranging update of the building's compliance with building regulations, thermal efficiency updates, layout remodelling, and furniture and finishing updates.

The building now accommodates the University's School of Education Department and Institute of Medical Humanities whilst also providing central teaching spaces. The refurbishment included new floor, wall and ceiling finishes, together with replacement partitions, doors and internal screens. Externally, we added a new fire escape stairway along with improved cladding.

The Confluence Building is now a modern working environment for teaching staff and students that provides a flexible working environment.
