Expansion of Denbigh School

We were appointed as Architects to design a new two-form entry expansion at Denbigh School in Milton Keynes.

The development involved the provision of a large new build Arts Centre, together with refurbishment works to the existing School to provide a new Sixth Form Centre with mezzanine, ICT space and interview rooms. Two new science laboratories, a new food technology classroom and a second mezzanine for dining were also created.

The Arts Centre contains a double height dance studio, and a separate 300-seat hall, with adjoining drama studio, to provide flexible space for school assemblies, exams and theatrical performances. An open plan contemporary art studio is also provided, alongside specialist music teaching spaces and an external amphitheatre. The Arts Centre has been carefully designed to provide modern, vibrant, spacious, learning and social environments that can also be used by the local community.
