Studio Schools operate a new approach to learning, which include teaching through industry-led enterprise projects and work placements to offer a range of academic and vocational qualifications, and we were commissioned to design a modern and unique extension for Logic Studio School. Specialising in Computer Technologies and International Business, the School accommodates 300 students, aged 14-19, and is part of the Tudor Park Education Trust.

Funded by the Education Funding Agency via the Free School Programme, the development includes a vibrant front extension, new main entrance, contemporary workspaces and circulation areas, as well as traditional teaching spaces in which to prepare students for their professional careers.

Our new building is the next step in an extremely exciting future for Logic Studio School. The big open spaces and natural light allow for flexible learning and a grown up approach to technology – it feels more like Google offices than a school. The downstairs has an industrial feel, whilst upstairs has a corporate office feel, with breakout areas aplenty. Importantly though, there are fantastic spaces for more traditional learning, this is a building which is modern and fresh but hasn’t forgotten that teachers also need to teach! We are so proud to have such a facility and the students are extremely lucky to be in a school which has been built with the modern, digital economy in mind
