Kirklevington Hall

Client – Kymel

Location -Stockton-on-Tees

Kirklevington Hall is a historic estate near Yarm that is set to be transformed into a five-star boutique hotel and luxury spa destination following the granting of planning permission by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

The project is being led by Teesside developer Chris Musgrave OBE, working in partnership with experienced hotel operator Kymel and planning consultancy Lichfields.

The proposals carefully restore and enhance the former Judges Country House Hotel, breathing new life into the vacant site while celebrating its architectural heritage. The historic hall will be refurbished to provide 18 individually designed guest suites, complemented by a contemporary restaurant extension designed to contrast with and enhance the original building.

A new luxury wellness spa will provide treatment rooms, relaxation areas, a swimming pool, sauna and steam facilities, alongside a boutique restaurant and state-of-the-art exercise studio, creating a premium wellness experience for guests.

The wider estate will also feature luxury walled garden spa lodges and woodland lodges, offering immersive accommodation within the landscaped grounds. In addition, a dedicated events pavilion and converted Victorian Stables building will provide flexible facilities for weddings, conferences and private gatherings, establishing Kirklevington Hall as a premier leisure and hospitality destination for the region.
