Cardiac Catheterisation Procedures Unit

We have a long-established working relationship with Kettering General Hospital and were appointed to design a new Cardiac Catheterisation Procedures Unit. The facility was needed to care for adult patients with heart problems, and is strategically located within Kettering General Hospital in order to reduce the need for travel.

The new facilities were designed to include a fully equipped Catheterisation Lab, with state-of-the-art imaging and monitoring equipment, as well as a Cardiac Procedures Room for undertaking cardio-versions, transoesophageal echocardiograms and fitting pacemakers. Associated facilities include pre-assessment and consultation rooms, and an eight-bed admission and recovery area.

This facility was constructed above an existing single storey building whilst the rest of the hospital site remained operational.

We initially worked with the Trust to support them in producing their Outline Business Case and were subsequently appointed by Simons-Medicinq to deliver the project under the then Procure 21 Framework.
