GSSArchitecture are pleased to announce that planning permission has been achieved for a new fully accessible scout centre for the 20th Harrogate Scout Group.

The proposed development has been designed by GSSArchitecture under the Pro-Help scheme, run by Business in the Community, and will see the current hut replaced with new modern accommodation to facilitate a wide variety of activities, and to provide access to the local community.

The 20th Harrogate Scout Group provides training for children and young adults including, learning by participating in varied and progressive activities, making choices, taking responsibility for their own actions and increasing responsibility for others.  The training also involves working in groups, team building exercises and outdoor activities.

Godfrey Alderson, Trustee of the 20th Harrogate Scout Group said, “GSSArchitecture have been extremely helpful. They have gone to great pains to understand our requirements to come up with a very satisfactory solution. We could not have battled our way through all the local authority requirements without their help. We look forward to working further with this company.”

Jonathan Hunter, Partner at GSSArchitecture said, “We take pride in being able support our local community and giving something back. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Scouts to achieve such a successful outcome for this important project.”
